I went to Petsmart today looking to see what they have in the way of gates to keep the 4 lergegs in the kitchen if I can convince hubby to put in a doggy door. Because the opening is wider than a doorway, a regular gate is too short. They have several wider gates but they are wall mount and I do not want to drill holes in the wall, I want tension mount. What I will probably end up doing is zip tie two smaller gates together. I also looked at doggie doors. They now have ones that work with a sensor on the dogs collar, so you could let one dog out but keep another inside. Somehow I think the dogs would figure this out super quick and just hold the door open for their buddy. They also had doors designed for the portly cat :rotfl: Mom needs these for her fatties. All but one of them look like sausages being squeezed through the doors as they go from the porch to the laundry.
